I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) who has many years of experience supporting children, youth, and families. My experience as a teacher and Vice Principal in several BC school districts has provided the opportunity to deeply understand the diverse needs of this population. Currently, I am a school counsellor and private practice therapist.

I am passionate about bringing personalized approaches to my clients as they navigate challenges such as anxiety, ADHD, self-esteem, relationship challenges, parenting support, anger management, depression, and school related challenges.

I hold a Bachelor of Education degree from Simon Fraser University, a Master of Educational Leadership from Vancouver Island University, and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I am a lifelong learner and continue to engage in professional development and trainings relevant to her field such as DBT, Narrative, and Internal Family Systems trainings.

Developing a relationship based on trust, empathy, and respect is my first priority. I place a high value on relationships and sees a positive therapeutic relationship as the cornerstone of effective therapy. By developing a safe environment, I place the individual client’s needs at the center of my approach, recognizing that each client comes with their own unique experience and needs. I use an integrative approach that includes aspects of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution Focused Brief Therapay (SFBT), and Narrative Therapy.

Away from work I have the nickname “Outsidie Heidi”, as I find great joy in all things happening outside-hiking, walking, boating, skiing, pickleball, and time at the beach. All of which are even better when done with my family, friends, and dog. I love time in the kitchen cooking, and most aspects connected with delicious food. Victoria has many years of counselling experience - most recently working as a Clinical Counsellor at a local Pediatric Clinic, as well as PLEA Community Services Agency. She has a Master’s in Narrative Therapy & Community Work from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Simon Fraser University.
